Damai Beach Resort

Photo from Agoda Located at Damai Peninsular, Damai Beach Resort is one of the top holiday spot in Kuching Sarawak. Situated along sandy beach facing the South China Sea, it is clad among he world's oldest tropical rainforest by the slope of the legendary and majestic Mount Santubong.  How we can get there? The only way to reach Damai Beach Resort is by car. A 40-60 minutes drive, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.  Driving there is very relaxing. Once we pass by Petra Jaya, we left all those heavy traffic behind. Enjoying a greenery and refreshing breeze, we can left our car window open.  A view of Mount Santubong. Sarawak Sunrise Cocktail

  This cocktail is my own creation. Inspired by Tequila Sunrise, I replace the tequila with tuak & langkau. Some says Langkau have a bit of tequila taste, while I say it have its own unique taste. Since langkau is a clear spirit, tuak added to have this golden colour to emulate the golden colour of Tequila.  Ingredients needed. Grenadine Syrup, Tuak, Langkau, Orange Juice.  This is a tuak at the right age. We can tell from the colour that it should be more than 3 years . The taste will be much stronger compare to those just done fermenting.  Langkau is a distilled rice wine. It have a very strong smell compares to tuak. I would like to say it is like a cheap version of Soju but my dad says it taste like a tequila. Orange juice and grenadine syrup will complete it all. I like Sun Valley grenadine, it just seems to taste better and it's Malaysian favorite.
