Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur

 I have a chance to stay at Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur for 3 nights. The hotel located just at the side of Pavillion Suites Bukit Bintang.

Location wise, for me the best among the others at Pavillion Bukit Bintang area. MRT Station is just a few minutes walk, and it is surrounded by shopping mall. To make it interesting, the distance within the Hotel to most Mall is almost the same.


Check in was great. Only things is, ensure we have enough money for hotel deposit. It cost me RM600 for the 3 nights stay. The ambient and atmosphere of the lobby really great. Love the water feature. I have this craze with any beautiful water feature. And the chandelier is big and beautiful. The lobby is huge and there is a couch to sit for a short meeting or just for waiting. The check out was smooth and that is when I get my deposits money back.

I stay at the Deluxe Twin Room. The room is nicely illuminate with wall light. Comfortable bed for a good rest after a tiring day is essential, and this hotel does provide that. I'm staying at the 17th floor so the noise from the busy road below not really oblivious unless someone honking very loud.

The room drink section is amazing. There is a lot of variety of tea and to make it better, the room is provided with Capsule Coffee machine with 3 capsule provided everyday.


Deluxe Room Twin Bed

Pool is amazing. It is big and the deepest part is 1.5 meter deep. It is surrounded by the tall building so we didn't get to see the city view while basking beside the pool. The water is very cold for my liking but I get use to it eventually. There is a bar incase we need to order some food or drinks. The gym is near the pool which I didn't really utilised.

The breakfast is serve at The Mill Cafe. If you didn't book the hotel with breakfast, recommended to pay via room charging and they will deduct your deposits. It is cheaper compare to pay on the spot. The dining area is huge and there is a lot of seatings available. I recommend to have your breakfast early as there is less people and more free seating. The food is a lot, and can choose from a lot of variety. The drink section, they also prepare fresh juice like apple, orange, carrot, cucumber and vegetables. I love the coffee machine as we can get a freshly brew coffee.

Overall my stay here is great. While the hotel is amazing, the busking nearby the hotel make it even better and that is the reason for me to choose this hotel for my trip.

Sarawak Sunrise Cocktail

  This cocktail is my own creation. Inspired by Tequila Sunrise, I replace the tequila with tuak & langkau. Some says Langkau have a bit of tequila taste, while I say it have its own unique taste. Since langkau is a clear spirit, tuak added to have this golden colour to emulate the golden colour of Tequila.  Ingredients needed. Grenadine Syrup, Tuak, Langkau, Orange Juice.  This is a tuak at the right age. We can tell from the colour that it should be more than 3 years . The taste will be much stronger compare to those just done fermenting.  Langkau is a distilled rice wine. It have a very strong smell compares to tuak. I would like to say it is like a cheap version of Soju but my dad says it taste like a tequila. Orange juice and grenadine syrup will complete it all. I like Sun Valley grenadine, it just seems to taste better and it's Malaysian favorite.
