Bintulu is a small coastal town located at central region of Sarawak. While known mostly for its Oil & Gas industry, Bintulu is a major work station for Sarawak people after the SCORE (Sarawak Corridor Of Renewable Energy) take place and provided thousands of workforce.

Despite not know as a tourist attraction, Bintulu does provide its visitors with comfortable stays which offers different experience for each and every hotel. 

At here, I will list the hotel which offer unique experience in it every stay. To be fair, I will only listed the hotel which I have personally stay & experience.

Since Bintulu is a coastal town, it is the best to start with a hotel which offer beautiful sea views.

One of the top or well known hotel in Bintulu, ParkCity Everly Hotel receive 4.1 Star at google review. It facilities include Swimming pool, Gym & Sauna for relaxation. If you love deep pool, this is the only hotel which will be mention that has deep & large pool. 

Located near the Bintulu Spring Mall, shopping is just a walking distance. Quest also can enjoy a beautiful sunset while strolling along Bintulu Waterfront nearby.

Goldenbay Hotel

Located just a few hundreds meters from ParkCity Everyly Hotel, Goldenbay will offer a different experience. If you are looking for a cheaper Suite type room, this hotel will give you exactly that. I have stay at Junior Suite, and the room is huge at 76 m3. 

The advantage Goldenbay Hotel have among the other hotel is the Rooftop Dining & Lounge. Open at 5pm, quest can enjoy the beautiful sunset while having your favorite cocktail and having an early dinner.

A few hundred meters from Goldenbay Hotels, we will find Jinhold Apartment Hotel. It is a apartment type hotel. Suitable for those who wish to cook for themselves during their stay at Bintulu. Jinhold Apartment offers variety of room which suit from solo traveler to group traveler. Their biggest room is a three bedroom apartment and worth a check for family traveler.

Just a few hundred meters from ParkCity Everly Hotel, New World Suite still have those amazing seaview. Enjoy your meal at Paddy Power with the sea backdrop, you will enjoy every second of it.

Attach to Park City Mall, one can take a stroll for window shopping, having a meal or even getting their hair done.

Located further from the sea and nearer to newer town side, Nu Hotel offer a comfortable stay. The food provided by the in house kitchen is amazing & at reasonable price. Guest can also relax by the poolside bar and having a few beers. 

The good things about the location of the hotel, food and coin laundry just nearby. Chinese food, Western Restaurant, Malay food, Bar & Bistro, and even Rumah Asap (Sarawak term of Pork BBQ place) just walking distance around the area.

 I have a chance to stay at Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur for 3 nights. The hotel located just at the side of Pavillion Suites Bukit Bintang. Photo from Hotel Website Location wise, for me the best among the others at Pavillion Bukit Bintang area. MRT Station is just a few minutes walk, and it is surrounded by shopping mall. To make it interesting, the distance within the Hotel to most Mall is almost the same. Check in was great. Only things is, ensure we have enough money for hotel deposit. It cost me RM600 for the 3 nights stay. The ambient and atmosphere of the lobby really great. Love the water feature. I have this craze with any beautiful water feature. And the chandelier is big and beautiful. The lobby is huge and there is a couch to sit for a short meeting or just for waiting. The check out was smooth and that is when I get my deposits money back. Frog Cook With Fermented Durian (Katak Tempoyak)

Ingredients. Frog Fermented Durian (Tempoyak) Lemon Grass Shallot Garlic Ginger Dry Chili Young Turmeric Leave Salt, MSG @ Sugar (To Taste) How To Cook 1. Cut all the ingredient to preferred sizing 2. Stir fry lemon grass, shallot, garlic, dry chili & young turmeric leave until fragrant 3. Add in the frog meat and stir fry it until slight brown 4. Add in water and leave to simmer until the water boils or reduced. 5. Add on fermented durian and leave it to simmer until become thick 6. Add in salt, msg & sugar to preferred taste. 7. Leave it to thicken more. 8. Now it ready to be serve.

Sarawak Sunrise Cocktail

  This cocktail is my own creation. Inspired by Tequila Sunrise, I replace the tequila with tuak & langkau. Some says Langkau have a bit of tequila taste, while I say it have its own unique taste. Since langkau is a clear spirit, tuak added to have this golden colour to emulate the golden colour of Tequila.  Ingredients needed. Grenadine Syrup, Tuak, Langkau, Orange Juice.  This is a tuak at the right age. We can tell from the colour that it should be more than 3 years . The taste will be much stronger compare to those just done fermenting.  Langkau is a distilled rice wine. It have a very strong smell compares to tuak. I would like to say it is like a cheap version of Soju but my dad says it taste like a tequila. Orange juice and grenadine syrup will complete it all. I like Sun Valley grenadine, it just seems to taste better and it's Malaysian favorite.
